I’m going to show you how I made Sea Salt from seawater that I harvested from my favorite beach. I got the seawater from a marine protected area in Souther Calfornia, there’s no sewage drainage, no tourists – it’s a pristine and clean beach. If you want to try this, please research the beach you’re collecting seawater from to make sure it’s free from pollution.

Swim out as far as you can to collect the seawaterHow to make Sea Salt from Seawater

Boil to evaporate most of the sea water, took me about 2 hoursHow to make Sea Salt from Seawater

When the water is almost all evaporated, it will be a sludge like texture – this can take a few days to get to this point depending on the weatherHow to make Sea Salt from Seawater

Spread it out onto a pan to speed up the evaporation, if it’s hot & sunny it will completely dry in a few hoursHow to make Sea Salt from Seawater
